2011 Lexus IS250 Price, Review & Picture

2011 Lexus IS250 Price, Review & PictureNew Car Reviews, IS 250/350 receives a new grille and front bumper, as well as a new exhaust tip. All-wheel drive is now available on the IS 350. Interior trim has changed; it\’s now a black metallic finish. Convertibles add a new Luxury Package with new interior colors, while sedans are available with the F Sport Package (18-inch wheels, sport suspension, sport seats). Adaptive Front Lighting has been discontinued.

\"\"Lexus engineered the IS; this vehicle was designed so that it could rival Audi A4s, the C Class by Mercedes Benz, the G37 by Infiniti, and the 3 Series by BMW. The Lexus IS entered the market in 2000 and by 2005, it entered a new generation. The IS is offered in several trims: the IS 250 and 350 sedans. The 250 sports a 2.5 Liter V-6, 204 horsepower engine coupled with a manual or auto tranny.

The 350 sports a 3.5-Liter V-6, 306 horsepower engine joined to a six-speed auto tranny. Both configurations are offered with all-wheel-drive. The IS F, a lot like the M3, the AMG, and the Audi S, is new too. It sports a 5.0-Liter V-8, 416 horsepower engine joined to an eight-speed auto tranny. It has a cabin large enough for four, it is sport-tuned, and the suspension is lowered. Another addition is the 250 and 350 C version. These versions are convertibles with hardtops that retract. These cars have the same tranny and engines as other IS configurations, but all-wheel-drive is not an option.

A new front grille and bumper, plus revisions to the rear end help refresh the looks of the IS lineup. There are new 17- and 18-inch wheels, too. Style is modern and sporty, and the IS F looks lower and meaner. Leather and wood touches abound throughout the interior of the IS. Heated and ventilated front seats, driver seat memory, 14-speaker surround sound audio, Bluetooth, and navigation are available. The IS F receives new optional orange and black leather seats.

\"\"The IS has an excellent chassis and provides a fun drive on twisty roads. Ride is a little rough in the standard IS, which is worse in the IS F. Having said that, the IS F is immensely entertaining on the road — it scoots to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds. Braking from 60 mph only takes 108 feet.

Dual front airbags, front and rear side curtain airbags, and front seat-mounted side airbags are standard. The IS line also comes with four-wheel disc brakes, four-channel ABS, electronic brakeforce distribution, and brake assist; traction control; and stability control.

2011 Lexus ES350 Review

Overview
The top selling, luxury Lexus ES model for 2011 has gotten some nice refreshments for this model year. Some of the enhancements were planned too. Those that were not planned however, were changes that had to be made due to recalls of the floormats and pedals. The recall occurred due to safety concerns that Toyota had to address.

\"\"The ES for 2010 got a new frontal grille, new side mirrors with integrated turn signals, new taillights, new foglights, and brand new headlights. The vehicle is also offered with a new 17-inch wheel design. Additional add-ons include things like rain sensing wiper blades, driver-seat memory, leather seats, USB ports, Safety Connect, XM satellite radio, and rear and side airbags.

\"\"The Lexus ES for 2011 has some more changes. A change of motors allows the new model to run on unleaded, regular gas. The motor inclusion is a 3.5-Liter V-6, 268 horsepower engine offering 248 ft-lbs of torque. The 2010 offering only offered 272 horsepower and 254 ft-lbs of torque. The engine is married to one transmission option: a six-speed auto tranny…. Expand full summary
The Range
Body styles: Sedan
Engines: 3.5L V-6
Transmissions: 6-speed automatic
Models: ES 350
What\’s New
After a mild refresh added new styling cues for 2010, not too much changes for 2011. The 3.5-liter V-6 returns, now with six fewer horsepower (now 268) and six fewer pound-feet of torque (now 248). However, Lexus has changed the recommended fuel from premium to regular. The other changes: leather interior trim is now standard, and Deep Sea Mica replaces Black Sapphire Pearl.
Exterior
When it comes to looks and foundation, this is the luxury version of the Camry (although the Avalon is also a Camry in a tux). They share the same 109.3-inch wheelbase, but styling changes differentiate the two. The ES comes with a choice of 17-inch wheels.
Interior
For 2011, leather interior trim is standard on the ES. Last year\’s changes carry over, too: new steering wheel buttons, contrast stitching, a new cover on the center console, new nav software, and new Bluetooth audio and phone features.
Performance & Handling
Lexus estimates that the 2011 ES will scoot from 0-to-60 in roughly 7.0 seconds, a couple of ticks slower than the 2010 model. Other than that, the ES line isn\’t designed to be a canyon-carver; this is more about a luxury car that provides a smooth ride, and it does. Suspension is soft and compliant.
Safety
Dual front, dual front knee, front and rear side curtain, and front and rear side airbags (10 total) are standard on the ES; so are stability control, traction control, four-wheel discs with ABS, brake assist, and electronic brakeforce distribution.

2011 Lexus CT 200h Review

2011 Lexus CT 200h Review, what car reviews, It is not a BMW (BMW: GR), but the CT 200 hours gives a nicer cabin and more panache than high mileage driving competitors such as the Prius and Honda (HMC) Insight. If your priority is the highest fuel economy of the Prius is still the best buy on the market as far as I\’m concerned. If you are willing to pay a little more for better design and better handling, the CT 200 hours is worth a look. new entry-level Lexus hybrid power plant and has the same drive as the Prius, a 80-horsepower electric motor and 98 hp gasoline engine that generate a combined 134 hp. The transmission is an efficient, continuously variable automatic transmission. That\’s where the similarities end.

\"2011

The CT 200 hours is completely different from any other Toyota or Lexus model. Indeed, it does not share a platform with one of them. Four-door/five-passenger It is a hatchback, a very practical style of vehicle that is popular in Europe but not traditionally sell well in the U.S. with the price of regular gasoline now above $ 3, the American taste begin to change. The CT 200 hours is an excellent choice for commuting and is flexible enough to handle everything from weekend chores for a car pool with three or four children. The sporty, well fortified front seats are more comfortable than the front seats in the Prius. There is only sufficient knee and foot space for two adults of average size, not three to sit comfortably in the back, however.
